I saw two bathrooms designed by Erica Islas on the HGTV website: one had a slatted teak sink top, round mirror on the wall, and the other one was a guesthouse bathroom with a long narrow trough-like sink. Does any one know what the paint colors on the walls are? I emailed her and she said they were from BM; unfortunately, she had a tight schedule and could not tell me the names of the colors. I printed the pictures but the colors did not come out the same. I might have to take my lap top to the BM store and see if they can help me.

thanks for the responses and pictures! still not sure nancynj which color...i've got 3x6 dal tile white subway tiles, black pencil liner and white trims. i was initially thinking blue, but then i saw a picture of a bathrm that had a black pencil liner with the subway tile that was painted green which was nice too. we're still needing to make a final decision about floors and one thought were grey tiles that might make it look more modern so considering a greyish lavender color that i havent quite found yet. ahhh...we're doing an extensive house remodel so this is just one of many many decisions that have to be made...head is spinning!

Like Demifloyd, we're on a lake, so the back of the house is full of french doors and large windows. Most of the photos in the house tour do not focus directly on the windows/doors, but you can imagine three sets of french doors in the great room, the lower den has two triple sets, the bamboo bedroom has one triple set. The sunroom has three walls of windows, where the bedroom below (the shabby chic room) has two walls. Demifloyd and I have complained to each other more than once about not having the wall space for artwork in our newer homes as compared to our last. For me, it was all about paring down and deciding what needed to be put (or given) away... while remembering every single wall space doesn't need to have something on it - never take away from the view or make the room feel cluttered. We are waiting on new stainless steel fridge, range and microwave. I hope your new fridge is counter-depth. This refrigerator sticking out is not doing you any favors. Also removing the decorative valance above the sink. I'd like to see a curtain to bring in some color and softness ... and a matching /coordinating drape for the sliding glass door. Paint colors for walls? What color is predominant in your closet? Consider that for your walls. Everything you have is neutral colors ... I'd like to see a tile backsplash with some color and personality ... not plain white tile. Anything else we can do to put lipstick on our pig!!!! - Do those soffits contain ducts? Removing them would be a big (but not inexpensive) step. - If you remove the soffits, you could then replace the uppers with something taller. The cabinets you have now look to be in good condition, but the uppers look kinda squatty. Again, not an inexpensive fix. - Painting the cabinets won't be easy because they're oak /they have strong veining. - How about replacing that very basic door we see beyond the kitchen? - Replacing the countertops would go miles and miles towards updating the look. i think you need color. Agree. You have wood and white, and that gray mat doesn't count as "color". Try black Thonet chairs with cane seats. I don't know what kind of chairs those are, and I'm not a big fan of cane seats, but I think you need some non-basic chairs. I like the chairs you have now -- I have their first cousin -- but everything you have is so simple, you need something with a bit more personality. I'd pick a color and thread it through -- rug, chair seats, maybe a teapot or other visible accessory. Art on the wall from which the photos are taken? Agree with all of the above.
