PM, there is chicken wire on each section of the arbor. Not all of the plants are climbers though, so there is string tying several plants up. On the fence behind the baptisia is clematis Blue Belle. Woody, I really like Pagoda. And Blue Boy too. And a ton of others too obviously! Aotearoa is a really strong grower for me too. You might give it a try if you find one. I know Lost Horizons had it at one point. Maybe worth a call to them to see if they'd put one of these 3 plants aside for you. They were all a tangled mess when I was last there.

You can cut it to the ground and there's a 99% chance it will grow back from the roots. As for a pergola, do a google.com search, but MAKE SURE the pergola you choose is made of very sturdy metal that is coated, so it doesn't rust - rebar is a good choice if you can afford it.

I need some more information. Are any of your dogs fixed? This could be a problem right there. Have multiple females can cause problems with Alpha female marking, and the girls will end up marking just like boy dogs do. Your puppy might be suffering from what I call the fishbowl disease, where she is not getting enough outside stimulation. Sounds like her walkies is more about eating and sniffing than about walking. Walking with your pup should not be a stroll. it should be the first 5 minutes being duty time and the rest an outright brisk walk. This helps pups focus and helps them pay attention and helps rid them of excessive energy. Please fill in some more of the blanks and lets see if we can get this problem figured out.
