Help me with my living room/dining room. 2 sofas? and how many chairs?
Comments (13)These are the listing photos from the prior owner. The room is empty and I'm looking for help. In the dining room all I have is a table. I really like this Robin Bruce sofa that a local store has but I was thinking Navy. My husband thinks that is too dark in the room and also not practical with the dog. But I'm really wanting advice on furniture placement/arrangement. Would you do 2 sofas facing each other and tv over fp or put a console on long wall with tv?...See MoreDo the dining room table and chairs work with the first half of room?
Comments (4)This photo doesn't provide much of a view of the table and chairs, but it might work. The valances on the window/door in the dining area stump the appearance of the room and the window/doors should have drapery panels instead. Too many tables around your two lounge chairs. The curved glass table is too low between the chairs. Adding the two C tables on either side is just too many tables. The space requires one tall end table between the chairs IMO....See MoreDining Room Chair Ideas
Comments (10)Think transitional That’s part of your past and can be easily integrated with your present and future Find something contemporary to use for visual appeal on the table top and consider how well it’s going to function with family and friends gathering around a casual, hospitable accessible spot i have my mother’s 1967 dining room Henkle Harris oval Colonial maple table in my tiny kitchen bay window eating area with my 1974 Ethan Allen dining room cane back birch chairs The host chairs are in the dining room with my mother’s six dining room chairs and a wall long Ethan Allen library unit that functions as a china cabinet i’ve had nothing but positive comments in the seven years I’ve used these combos it’s my life, my style. Why waste good stuff that has value and emotional appeal to all who experience it?...See MoreFamily room upgrade - what would YOU do?
Comments (11)Rug’s color, design and size should be decided once you have your furniture placed. It’s much more difficult to find seating that meets your criteria than a rug. Defining the color scheme is also one of the first steps and It’s always better to think big picture, before committing and suggest not basing all your decisions on the rug and the outdoors. Here’s an inviting combo that would be easy to decorate around and once you add the french doors, wrought iron, plants, interesting fabrics on chairs, and a few watercolours the room will reflect the french quarter look you want. https://shopshakeyourbonbon.com/products/lyla-clayre-studio-fp-c6aed?variant=44368829284581 Regarding layout, decide on the type of seating that best suits your family and additional needs: small table/chairs, cubbies or bookcases, etc. Then suggest going on line for a room planner and test different options....See MoreBeverlyFLADeziner
