Among my luggages, I have the first one in pink in the Enormous size. I love how light it is. It does get quite dirty if checked. I bought a cover for it but the cover ripped on trip 1 and it got a bit dirty. On trip 2, the cover was removed by someone and they forgot to put it back on or they stole it. It got very dirty. Now I am sad.

Ah.. I forgot about your cover and the debacle (sorry!). I was thinking it would be easily cleaned if nylon. That's a plus on the silver polycarbonate -- which is also light but pretty sure not nearly as light as the nylon.

Edited to add the silver would coordinate with my 30" spinner which is gray leopard print.

I think I have made my decision... just like that.

I suppose if you got a spot on it, you could clean the nylon. But this is more like just dirty all over. Maybe I can put it in my new LG?

Maybe lol! Btw that is one of the things I love about MZ Wallace-- THEY are washable! I haven't had to wash either of mine yet but my sis has washed hers with zero issues.

I am messy-- with my lack of depth perception I am always spilling coffee or something. This is a huge comfort to me.

I love my hard sided spinner! The one you pictured is both neutral and pretty and sounds perfect as a companion to your existing bag. White or cream colored luggage is sheer madness ( 😉sorry Mtn! )

I like hardcase spinners for airplanes as they do not get dirty or torn and are easy to wipe down. The hardcase I have expands, does the Bric? I have a small soft suitcase I use to take to DD2's. Since I leave a lot of items there, it always has room left over. I actually bought a child's suitcase for this purpose only. DGD2 loves that it looks just like hers.

I had something happen to my checked Bric’s on this last trip. It is the hardside. Somehow, it got a cosmetic-only gash across the handle and down one side. Function is not impacted, but the gash is sure ugly. I can’t help but imagine that if it were soft-side, I’d have a cut in the fabric.

Allison, my Bric does not expand. Wish it did.

Funkyart, if I were committing to COO, I would go for the lightest. Pressing a suitcase over your head is hard enough without adding weight.

That tan one will look pretty bad when it gets dirty and scuffed.

Because if a herniated disc, I can only carry on a small light bag that gets me about three days. Otherwise I now check and because of that won’t buy expensive luggage. I look online for ideas and then buy at TJMaxx. Thinking of trying a hardside this time as my Atlantic bag just blew a wheel.

My small carry on is Tumi and I love it, but there would be no protection for anything inside should it have to be checked. Same thing for the soft bag you're looking at. Just make sure you can lift the hard bag when full.

As for me? I am from solid swedish farmer girl stock -- I mean, I have never farmed a day in my life but I am broad, big-boned and thankfully no issues to keep me from lifting. Good check though!

This is my current bag-- nothing special but it is in fine condition so if I need to pull it out, at least the bags won't clash. They barely coordinate but they don't clash.

Just looked at the bric store , and i see under specs that they both weigh the same, 5.5 lbs. but the nylon one has 42 litre volume as the silver one has 44.

It DOES matter -- I had just confirmed that there wasn't a difference in weight but I forgot to check the volume. Thank you, Lyban! Every liter counts!

I would say the dud of the trip was the pink linen dress from J. Crew. I never wore it for some reason. I can’t explain why.

I also packed way too many scarves. Greece and the Med cruise were hotter than the hinges of hell. I just could not stand the thought of a scarf.

As I commented on your other thread, the surprise items were the 2 pair of Eileen Fisher pants, stretch crepe and washable. The wrinkles fell out quickly and they went with everything.

The Chico’s washable linen shirt was great. I wore it both as a top and as a light jacket. It is thin enough to dry quickly when washed.

My straw hat fell victim to a rain shower while we were on the Acropolis. Now I’m in the market for a new sun hat. I’ve found one at J. Crew that is in the running.

Bummer that the hat was destroyed-- I have a JCrew staw hat still in the box. I won't muck with it for this trip (i don't think) but I will pull it out for the 4rth!

I love the EF crepe pants but I don't think I want to buy them until I have lost more weight. I still have a belly and I don't like the look of the crepe pants with a belly. For some reason, the linen works better (maybe because they are too big lol).

I returned my Chico's linen top but I did get one from Talbots. I wish i had selected one of the fun colors-- mine is blue. Fine and nice with white but I am not sure it will make my cut.

I have not 100% decided but i will definitely take these two dresses ..

I haven't tried this one yet-- but if it fits better this summer, this will be the third. Only the linen one will wrinkle but it is perfect for a few things we'll be doing.

(and already i have identified 2 additional dresses I "need"... sigh)

Blue top: it would look great with oatmeal/khaki pants which are a nice sub for white - you get the light-ish color with out the ”shows every bit of dust.” I wore oatmeal linen pants with a periwinkle top and a navy top and felt great in each.

These are soooo comfortable!

Funky, if it matters to you, the 21 inch Lipault spinner weighs only 4.8 lb and is 20% off this weekend. I’ve been completely happy with my Lipault spinner. It’s about 10 years old and it has seen countless trips and many cobblestones:). There’s now a small, non-functional tear on one side, so after seeing the sale I’m thinking of replacing it. I pair it with the Lipault weekend bag, which has a sleeve so it sits securely on top of the roller bag. It’s a great combo and I feel like I can carry a lot.

I know there is a strong Lipault fan base here .. and it is why I started with Lipault on the list.

I don't care about a few ounces but the Lipault holds 48 L .. 4 more than the Bric's Capri. I do care about that.

I took them off the list because I didn't care for the striped trim-- but I just realized that's only in the open sky and blinding sun colors. I do like those colors best-- just not the trim.

It is tempting but I really think I prefer the silver/tan of the Bric's spinner.
