Bathrooms Building a Home Flooring

floor and decor Ashford and NuCore flooring question

Hello, we are in the process of building our home and our contractor suggested that we purchase the floors and bathroom tiles from Floor and Decor. I would like to hear general opinions of this store for floors and bathroom tiles (as I am leaning toward spending a bit more but going with a small local business instead).

Specifically, we are doing radiant heat floors and selected the following for the floors:
NuCore waterproof flooring in ANCHORAGE RIGID CORE LUXURY VINYL PLANK - CORK BACK for the upstairs
And
Ashford in TRUEWOOD CREAM WOOD PLANK PORCELAIN TILE for the main floor (living room/kitchen)

If anyone has any reviews of these two floors and/or experience with floor and decor store in general, I would love to hear it. Also, if anyone has pictures of these floors in your actual homes, I’d love to see.

Mark, This has been bugging me since your response. I *knew* a computer-generated plan would not look very historical, but I had decided on doing it anyway. But now, after having this at the back of my mind for a week, it's bothering me. My plan was to frame it and hang it on my landing, but it sounds boring and sterile now. Is this something I could pay an architect to draw up by hand? I have all the measurements. Also, I can label the rooms using text boxes in the app, but the fonts are limited and I can't import the arts & crafts fonts I like. I tried writing them by hand for practice, so I could hand-label the printout, but it looked awful. I live in the heart of FLW country and I'm sure there are architects and designers around here who could do a good job. What do you think? How long do you think it would take for something to draw it up by hand?

@Kristen Stewart - yes - my sister and I both purchase Woodland Reserve engineered wood floors from F&D (mine are European Oak - I think hers may be white oak ). The floors have held up wonderfully. Have had zero issues with them. She hasn’t has any issues either. Mine look exactly the same as when installed. The upkeep is easy - vacuum and sometimes use a slightly damp microfiber mop. These floors were a great purchase!

I just purchased the LVP NuCore form the F&D. The installers started to put the floor down but it was breaking. This is a common theme with tis product. I believe it is because it is so rigid/brittle. I tried to take it back to the F&D but they stated behind the product and said that installers made a mistake when putting floor in. I lost about $1500 with F&D as even though it was bad product they didn't take the opened box back. It was so frustrating since the workers lost time installing the floor and then taking it down. I was very disappointed with customer service. I will try to contact NuCore directly about this product. Just FYI few boxes were ok, but a lot of them were breaking. they also packed couple of boxes broken in half.
