the sign on the nursery near my office says: ++We Have Roses!++
Comments (33)I hear all of you, but I live literally 2 minutes from Roses Unlimited. (heavy sigh) So there is no hope for me. My hubby told me I needed a hobby, so I chose roses. He was thinking more on the lines of model cars or puzzles....so it's his fault. He has given up on saying anything to me, since our kids are grown and I'm home all day by myself, I need to amuse myself....muuuuuahhhh! I told him yesterday that I needed him to fire up the roto-tiller for my new flower bed. He rolled his eyes and then promptly went out and fired that baby up. One pass through and now the rain comes, so maybe by monday I'll try again. I have to be ready you know.....for the new arrivals in april....See Morelooking for rose gardens or rose nurseries in St. Pete, Fl.
Comments (8)I assume you'll be keeping pretty close to St Pete during your visit. If you intend to venture further afield, I'd recommend a visit to the remarkable rose gardens at Florida Southern College in Lakeland. In addition to the vast array of roses that Malcolm Manners has collected and oversees there, the college is famous for the buildings Frank Lloyd Wright designed for its campus (the world's largest collection of FLW-designed buildings situated in one location). Lakeland is roughly the same distance from St Pete as Sarasota (but in another direction). Donny, are you still selling roses at the Farmers Market in Raleigh? If so, when would be a likely time to find you there come spring/early summer?...See MoreWest Coast cemetery/found roses
Comments (7)I need to make a trip down to Angel Gardens and Rose Petals sometime. Alachua and Newberry are right near each other and Gainesville is the 'bigger city' near them. Although it is still pretty small except for the University (UF) lol. Maybe next spring because I am planning on going down to that area to pick up a few baby goats around then :) I am excited to see these two nurseries are growing some found roses that I did not expect to be able to get any time soon lol. I am really interested in the cemetery 'found roses'. I was born in California so I am interested in the found roses from there. Hmmm, I just noticed that Angel Gardens website says that, "Visits to the nursery are only by appointment." Rose Petals also says that they are also only by appointment. So maybe better if many people got together to go sometime. ~SJN...See MoreDoes anyone know Rose Nurseries that sell Easy Elegance series Roses
Comments (11)Sorry John I clicked on your profile and saw your location. You lucky devil I typed in one of your zip codes. There are at least 30 nurseries in your area that carry EE rose including Lowes and Menards. Ours never have them and I'm not that far from Chicago. Thats usually where I end up driving. Most likely you will also be able to find Campfire. It's not an EE but a newer intro from Canada. Highly recommend this rose if you like it that is....See More- 11 months ago
