Help! GE Cafe owners: Kobe hood for a GE Cafe range?
Comments (3)I may be a little late, but we just had a Kobe hood installed over our GE Cafe. Love it. It is a model that actually sits inside the cabinet above, so all you see is a 2" "rim" coming out the bottom. It works great and looks great too - matches the stainless and since you don't see much of it, it doesn't clash at all....See MoreGE Cafe line

Comments (10)We remodeled our kitchen in 2009 and went with all GE cafe products. We regret it everyday and have separate issues with each of the products. - The GE cafe 30" stand alone oven with warming drawer - while one of the burners is super powerful, the smallest burner is useless. And every time we use the warming drawer we blow a circuit (not the oven's fault but worth mentioning). - The over-the-hood microwave....we have replaced it x2. Each time the touch screen panel has gone out because it cannot take the heat from the range. - The fridge continues to make ice even when the ice maker is full and something inside the fridge makes a loud clicking/banging sound (just one bang) several times throughout the day. It is so loud that it makes us JUMP. - The dishwasher spills water on to the floor but the seal is good. Frustrating. We have had GE repairmen out several times and they each have stated that they have never done as many repairs as they have done for the Cafe series. They are beautiful but I swear I will never purchase appliances from GE again....See MoreAny experience with GE Cafe French Door Wall Oven?
Comments (47)Quick update on GE French door double wall oven. The temp calibration is slightly off for the French door oven, upper oven, compared to from when I first posted in 2019. For example, if the oven setting for a recipe is supposed to be 400 , I find I have to set my oven temp at 425 or even slightly higher for my oven thermometer to show that the oven is at the right temp. This isn’t a big deal to me because I’m used to adjusting cook times and temperatures for recipes to fit our needs. I do think the temp difference is worth noting, though. i know I can recalibrate the oven temp. I just haven’t bothered yet....See Morewdccruise
