My tomato plant has white spots but doesn't' look ill. Can I use it ?

Hello
Well I looked up disease on tomato plants with white spots. Downy Mildew seemed to be the culprit but my leaves don't look like the ones in the picture. The pics have white spreading through the plants while my dots are just that, dots. The plant seems healthy and the stem is hard(but white on the bottom.
Is this a salvageable plant?

Comments (15)Jades do not actually perform better when 'under-potted'. The reason this is so often parroted is that an under-potted plant uses the moisture in the soil much faster than an over-potted plant. It is much more accurate to simply say Jades prefer a very fast soil than to suggest they grow better under root-bound conditions. We may sometimes use the stress of a plant being root-bound to bend the plant to our will (to induce blooms or reproduction ...), but that is no signal it is of actual benefit to the plant. Growth is measured in the increase of biomass and a root-bound plant will produce new mass in reduced proportion to the degree of how root-bound it is. Comments (42)Gwanny, Six months after my stem cell transplant I was told that it didn't work and the cancer was "raging". I was sent to City of Hope in Pasadena where I was told to go home and get things in order to die. We couldn't accept that, changed doctors and my new one contacted her mentor the head of oncology at Scripps San Diego. I was accepted into a trial treatment (different type of stem cell transplant). I would be the 1st person to undergo 2 stem cell transplants less than a year apart. It's extremely hard on the body. My odds of survival on a good day were 25%. That was 8 years ago :) We believe the reason why the City of Hope wouldn't touch my case was because they anticipated my demise...it doesn't look good for a hospital to have a sure death on it books. And I suppose I understand that part, but way I was treated sticks in my craw. I wasn't offered nor did that "certain" doc seem interested in helping me survive. Comments (7)becks, I am sure Crenda is right. I have been reading for a couple of years here on GardenWeb. I remember seeing this question and similar pictures before, and the answer was indeed excess salts and minerals. I have a compact jade that I grow in pretty full sun, so the color has darkened to almost burgundy -- and nearly every leaf is dotted with little white dots. I don't mind the look of them, so I just leave as-is. The plant is in a bark-free gritty mix and growing well, and it doesn't seem bothered by the white dots. 10 months agoplanted the little buggers and I mean little. around 4". The spots are still there but there no sign of any progression. I doubt I'll see much growth but I'll feed and water them and see what happens
