I prefer simpler, cleaner lines, so mostly like the 2nd styles in each drawing. I especially like the area next to the pantry to have more counter and not have the long doors down to the counter. Also, in the first picture, that area next to the oven and pantry looks like it's trying to be a furniture piece, but everything on that wall looks like separate things all shoved together. I'm not sure how to explain that better, and less offensively! I just think there is a lot going on and, like I said, all lined up, shoulder-to-shoulder, doesn't work for me. How do you do soffits with the cabinets changing height at the top? Or would you do away with that? If you drop the ceiling in the butler's pantry, might you want to do cabinets to 9 ft and have the ceiling where the cabinets end? Or do you want to store serveware or have lighting above?

HI -- Continue with the accent blue on all the soffits . It will look nice and remember the person looking at it will be seated in the chair , so it won't look like it is bringing the wall down . I think it will make the room feel comfortable .

Question, do you really need to cover the top set of windows? As in the smaller ones? Could you inset bottom top blinds in the lower window individually?

I am putting an outlet on the island yes, also like I said there were 2 outlet on the wall where the hood is going to be (no cabinets) and 2 outlets on the other wall+ one under the sink for the garbage disposers and water heater plus 2 for appliance. In fact before this remodel I had all outlets under the cabinets. I had strips installed under which gas 3-4 plugs I think and only one was ever used. Now I need one for coffee machine nit sure where yet in one of the corners. And one in the island. What else?
