How to clean marble in bathroom?
Comments (7)I have tumbled marble in my bathroom and tried a tile spray to remove the soap buildup as well as Quick n brite. These two did not work for me, though. After browsing a tile forum I came up with using an ammonia based product. I ended up using pine-sol diluted in my bathtub and a non-scratching scrubby. Not only did this work, but when I drained my tub the little grip circles on the bottom of my tub were back to white...something that even a soaking with bleach couldn't seem to fix for me....See MoreHow to clean tile bathroom floor??
Comments (2)I can't tell what color the grout should be but you could try Tile lab that you find at Home Depot. You can spray it on, let it sit a few minutes then use a scrub brush - but you don't really have to scrub hard and then you will also be cleaning the tile as well. Damp mop up the residual and let dry. The grout will be darker until dry....See MoreHow do you clean bathroom floors?
Comments (7)I use a Hoover Floormate #800. I love this thing and it was worth the high price. A friend had one and raved about it and she let me use hers twice. I was hooked. Easy to operate - it's just like vacuuming. It vacuums up dust and hair and crumbs, sprays a disinfecting cleaning solution down, then spinning bristles scrub the floor spotless, then it squeegeys and sucks up all the water leaving your floors practically dry. All in one sweep! It leaves a pleasant scent too, not "disinfectant smelling and not all 'flower-y' either. There is a special attachment and special bristles for doing grout and special grout cleaner to use if you wish. The #800 model has two hose attachments for tight spaces and corners. Floormate can be used in kitchens and on wood or laminate floors all over the house. This is not an advertisement. I just love my Floormate and wanted to share. If you go to those consumer ratings sites like Epinions or Amazon you will see that with Floormate people either LOVE the thing or they hate the thing. There does not seem to be any 'in between' ratings. If my bathroom floor does not really need a cleaning and just has daily dust and hair I run a Swiffer over it. You can save money by just using a square of paper towel that has been sprayed with either plain water or some disinfectant spray cleaner. It will still pick up dust and hair....See Morehow do you clean your natural stone bathroom?
Comments (22)Thanks for the laugh about "purified angel's tears"! I'm really leaning towards marble in the shower area...I did some internet research and read that a diluted bleach solution is okay. I'm not sure what think! I printed out catmom's reply (THANK YOU!)with all the product names in case we decide to go with natural stone. Went tile looking again today and saw some pretty porcelains, which I know are much less maintenance. Nothing is "set in stone" LOL:)...See Morekazzh
