Dietes grandiflora (Wild Iris).

Well that explains why it's dying, it's a succulent and I've been watering it way to much. Does this plant have powdery mildew ? Or are the leaves like that because of the over watering ?

It is indeed aristolochia. That blurry picture is a fully formed flower and not a bud. They call them Dutchmen's pipes because they look like little pipes. I have the tomentosum and also a durior. They are nice butterfly hosts.

a short lived perennial/biennial .. in my MI ... and the more foo foo.. the shorter lived ... maybe its a zone thing ... cant beat the standard Popsicle purple.. and red species back with a stick though ... lol ... they reseed themselves in a pleasant manner ... ken
