I hope this isn't an exercise in futiliy. Does anyone know if I can actually have success doing this? Seaweed treatments, groundcover to cool roots? Something? When I bought these I may have deluded myself when it said "full sun"...because I do know in Texas what full sun really means:/

This is a huge iris, called Walking or Apostle Iris...I'm sorry I do not have the botanical name handy.
