A mourning dove moved into an old mockingbird nest in the jasmine vine by our front door. I think there are 2 babies... Mourning doves are not known for their nest building skills 😏

I thought I posted this earlier, but maybe I forgot to hit 'submit' Cousin's wedding in 2009 - she's a costume designer, and IIRC, she and her mom made her gown...

It took us (3 people) a couple of hours to pull the ones we could see or feel, but he continued to have quill problems over the next several months at least. Quills would randomly present themselves, usually 1 or 2 at a time -- if they were somewhere easy to get the owners would pull out one or two; if they were in weird spots or there were too many, he'd come back in for some sedation or anesthesia. Fortunately, none migrated to really dangerous spots, like his joints or organs.
