Viburnum burkwoodii Mohawk not fragrant

Hello everyone,
After being seduced by viburnum carlesii, I decided to extend my viburnum season and bought a viburnum burkwoodii Mohawk. The gardening book I read spoke of viburnum burkwoodii perfuming the spring air. The viburnum flowered in early May (still in its plastic pot.) While it looks lovely, it does not have a discernible smell. My carlesii (I have two) smelled amazing as always. I just wanted to check if anyone has a burkwoodii, and if so, does it have a scent? My burkwoodii might gave to be relegated to a less prominent position. Zone 8.
