Seems like a pic of mom and me is appropriate today.

Wow Arcy, your Dad looks just like Sean Murray, the actor who plays Tim McGee on NCIS!

(Photo from internet, obviously)

My Mom is incredible. She's 91, lives on her own in her home and still drives. This is a photo of her taken in 2007 when she flew by herself to visit us in the Netherlands where we lived for my husband's job. She had knee replacement surgery the year before so that she could make the trip. The photo was taken at the Keukenhof gardens in Lisse.

This bunch of Sweet Flag, now sitting on the bottom of the pond, had been resting atop a milk crate, partially submerged, until dislodged by some rambunctious Koi. It’s spawning season and the goldfish go here to lay their eggs, so I left it. Afterwards, the others come and eat the eggs.

A still shot doesn’t capture the beauty of this mating “dance”.

I’m participating in a stitch-a-long. This is one of my flowers from earlier this week. Happy Mother’s Day!

Sunken Garden in San Antonio, where my mother used to take me as a small child

Just hanging around, my sculptures.

A favorite picture from exactly six years ago, at 87. Her scooter days are over now.

Oh Glenda! August 1941 - little did you all know what was coming in December...

My mom ca. 1950s - I think before any of us kids came along - taken by my dad. She was never not fashionable

Doe and fawn, part of a LEGO art display at South Coast Botanic Garden earlier this year.

Happy Mother's Day!

"She was never not fashionable"

@carolb_w_fl_coastal_9/10 - My immediate thought was looks like a movie star.

I was in New Orleans last week and did a swamp tour.

Here's a painting Kevin did of our mother with our sister and me, using a photo taken when I was one year old.
