Is something wrong with my maple tree?

Seeking some tree expert advice! So this maple tree was here when we moved in 3 years ago and I’ve noticed a few issues with it (first time I noticed was last year). I’m seeing some strange growth on some of the lower branch leaves and then some cracks in the trunk. Should we be concerned? Is there anything we can do to help? Appreciate any guidance!

Are pictures 1 and 2 pruning wounds sealing over?

The bottom pic I dunno. Sunscald, claw marks, or tansition to mature bark?

Freeman maple. The wounds look like they're healing, tho one wonders what caused them -- two look like branch removals, and as suggested, others may be sun-scald, which this hybrid is prone to. Tar spot on the leaves isn't really a serious issue.

transplant shock ... wouldnt be surprised if all the leaves fall off ... track down another.. and mark it.. to dig it up.. in fall.. when the leaves naturally fall off trees.. and you odds of success will increase 99% ... see link on how to do it all ... next time you want to try something in the yard... ask first ... all this said.. its a maple ... it probably .. might .. survive ... if you water it properly ... see link ... ken ps: and if you did it leafless.. you wouldnt need the stake.. and the wire ... I have two maples that look the same right now, along with many other plants in my yard. I spoke with someone at the nursery about it and was told we had a moth infestation that occurred due to a warm spring (happens about once every 17 years or so). They told me they're fine and next year everything will look great. I can't say for certain it's the same thing, but you may want to talk to someone at your local nursery about it, they'll probably have a better idea about what is going on in your area.

Very likely a case of anthracnose, a catch-all term for several different fungal pathogens that result in an assortment of leaf spots and early leaf drop. These tend to be highly weather related and high heat, high humidity and heavy rains can all contribute to the cause. But they are generally considered to be mostly cosmetic and seldom do any significant damage to an established tree. Control or a specific treatment is generally not warranted. Just clean up and dispose of ALL the fallen leaves to prevent spreading or overwintering the fungal spores on your property. And while probably not necessary, you can use a dormant oil spray in winter to smother any spores thay may be lurking on any stems or branches.

I think maple leaf gall rather than tar spot. Also not serious, my trees get them as well.

imo... on a deciduous tree.. one that drops its leaves every year... transitory leaf problems are rarely.. if ever a problem.. the tree will drop them in fall.. so what. ..

ergo.. there is no reason to treat them and poison the world...

agree that all the above are well healed prior injuries... again.. nothing to see here ..

frankly.. its hard to kill a maple for any reason... and they are about the least likely tree to worry about that i can think of...

and in no time.. it will probably be seeding all over you garden beds... and that will just make you so happy.. lol.. thats sarcasm ...
