Comments (52)I have the Ikea Ektorp sofa. It's very comfortable. I know it won't last very long, but I love that the slipcovers go in the wash...with 2 dogs a washable sofa was a necessity... Comments (4)It sure will lighten up with a lot of light it will fade you need to add some solar shades to your windows before everything in your room fades , including floors, rugs and furniture. This is appic of the sectiol in the Nickel, BTW pretty easy to find with google. FYI I hate sectionals what you get here is 2 people who are comfy and all the rest are sitting in the middle cushion of a sofea always the last choice for sitting.IMO get the sofa and a couple of cooordinating chairs and have 4 people who are comfy....See MoreCrate and Barrel - Douglas vs. Taft Fabric
Comments (24)Thank you, it seems texture hides scratches if they don't go nuts and shred the whole thing. I have some velvet samples. I tried to shred both the velvet and the Douglas samples with needle nose tweezers. The Douglas was holding up better to my tests, does Crate and barrel have different qualities of velvet? I have seen more than one person saying that cats aren't interest in scratching velvet. Maybe that's the secret to cat proof furniture since it would seem that NOTHING can hold up to their claws if they decide it's a scratching post....See More40liberty
