Rowe Furniture: Good or Bad?
Comments (119)We purchased the Sylvie Sectional through our designer earlier this year. It finally arrived after 6 months and within weeks it looked awful. The fabric pills and is even coming apart at some seams. The cushions do not hold their shape and we already had them replaced by the company as a "one time favor." The seat cushions are so unsupportive and just sink. It's truly embarrassing to have this couch when all of our other furniture is so nice. People ask us if it is our old couch since our remodel. I'm not exaggerating when I say that our IKEA sectional lasted us and was more comfortable than this sectional that we spent over 7k on. We are so disappointed and left with no recourse. I will never again buy a Rowe or Robin Bruce product. This was supposed to last us 10 years and it's barely made it a few months....See MoreDoes anyone else have issues with the Article Sven Sofa?
Comments (64)Horrible Sofa.. I bought the Sven Leather sofa and the back cusions got flat in 8 months, we put it in front of the TV qnd use it daily. ARTICLE sent me the back cusions replacements, but they leather color is lighter, faded and it seems very stiff (maybe storred incorrectly). I instered couple od dawn pillows in the back cusions which bought me around a year. Now it looks horrible and deformed. Now installing the replacements which would probaby last 8 motnhs as well, then will add the dawn pillows to buy another year. will end up getting 4 years out of this thing!! The side round pillows sagged after a year, they sell them for $180! My 12 years old Ikea leather sofa which I moved to the basement has 0 sag what sp ever! Very comfortable, no sag what so ever, the leather peeled off little at some placese, corners but thats about it (after 12 years). Do yourself a favor and buy from Ikea, they have some high end leather sofas, prices are close to Article and quality is much better!...See MoreHallmark floors
Comments (90)Reesutton, I also use the rugpads that were recommended by Hallmark under my kitchen rugs. Maybe I should swap out for the waffle-weave rug pads. Also wanted to mention that I noticed that Hallmark now has a new product called NuOil "White Oil " Cleaner. Not sure why they changed formulation for specific floors. I continue to use the the NuOil products but I don't think they help much with staining. When I reorder, I will try this White Oil product and hope it will help with staining. This is from their website: Nu Oil® white oil cleaner is a specially made soap designed with nourishing properties which cleans them out quickly closes the pores if your hardwood floor to protect against dirt and penetration of liquids. All products are natural, VOC neutral leaving no film on top of the wood. Comments (153)@Anne Smith they are both comfortable to me (i had heard ery good things from axis owners) - for the 88" length the Metro deep is a little deeper - 43" vs 41"i think on axis overall and the "interior" depth from back cushioin to front edge of seat cushion is like 28/29" whereas i think it's more like 25 on axis. Metro seat cushions feel a little more "cushiony"/"springy" (but not soft) than axis which felt "firmer" - i think becausethe seat cushions on Metro (deep version only) are spring down (so coils in them) vs pure foam wrapped with down i . Also i think the back frame on Axis is taller and i think feels like it sits a bit more "upright" (the back of Metro feels more like C&B lounge sofa than Axis). Although the douglas fabric on Axis is very durable, the look was a little too "suedey" for me, and i couldn't use the ice or white color - I needed more of an ivory (so i would have gotten Icon pearl) . The ivory sumner fabric on the Metro is really nice (100% polypropylene)...See Moretropitango
