Help with bathroom tile and decor ideas please!
We're in the middle of a new construction build and could really use help with planning, ideas, and thoughts. I've attached pictures that I hope will help. The first four pics are pictures of the tile. The 5th is the virtual model for reference, and the last is the floor plan.
My questions are,
1) Do you think the floor is too busy and should we consider something more subtle? We were limited on favorable tile options for this build and went with this for neutrality with some interest, while trying to stick to the largest tile options (the floor was supposed to be 24 x24 but it has been discontinued).
2) if the tile stays, what would you do with the wall behind the tub? I'm considering paint colors for the room and I'm wondering if it makes sense to accent that wall somehow or choose a color for the whole bathroom that would also serve as a way to highlight that area. Color suggestions?
3) What color countertop would you do with? White or black?
Other notes, plumbing and other fixtures will likely be bronze. I'm also considering eventually changing the vanities to walnut or something similarly rich in color. Would love to also get any other set up ideas like how you'd set up the change area to the right of the shower.

Many of the choices are either busy via matching floor and wall tile or smaller tile like 8-9 inch hexagon on the wall or floor (I'm personally not a hex fan). We're considering a lighter version of the current floor tile (the one on the left in this picture). But then I don't know if that'd make the bathroom a little too boring with the shower tile and if the undertone still works as well?

Comments (2)I prefer to keep decorative items to a minimum in the bathroom for ease of cleaning. Some pretty hand towels, a hand soap dispenser, and maybe a scented candle on the tub ledge, and that would be about it for me....See Morebathroom decorating!! help me please
Comments (6)I think that Alyssa mirror works much better. The coloring is less red, there is gray, it's darker, and it has some grain showing which gives it more rustic feel. Comments (20)#1 is eye catching & #2 is more subtle. It’s all a matter of personal choice; you are the one seeing & cleaning it everyday. Recently had tub removed & shower installed in narrow bathroom. Daltile floor and MSI porcelain wall tiles. Lower wall tiles used 1’x2’ rectangular and upper tile above accent border used 18 inch squares turned diagonally. Used Lacitate grout, it comes with sealer already mixed into the dry grout. A little more expensive but mold & mildew proof translates to less scrubbing. We have better things to do! Sorry about pics couldn’t delete or correct.
