"When you must have a degree, are required to be state licensed, accept payment, are validated by the health insurance community, and most of all can remedy my back and neck concerns you are without question a professional. " Always happy to have a discussion. Conventional medicine practiced by physicians is science applied with art. The key word is science, that's why the NIH and med schools spend billions each year for research to understand and treat diseases and conditions. Chiropractic practices fail scientific scrutiny, and no research is done. Reach your own conclusion. Benefits are explained by the placebo effect - which is can be real. It's otherwise hocus-pocus, quackery, use whatever words you like . Schools - while most people that apply to med schools aren't accepted, almost all people going to chiropractic schools are. It's about as hard to get in to them as the trade schools that teach auto mechanics. Insurance companies are happy to cover chiropractors because the charges are lower than from physicians. The danger with chiropractors is when they try to treat conditions they don't understand and make the patient think it's unnecessary to see a physician. Most stay away from that because they realize that a backrub does nothing for diabetes, for instance. Backs don't have alignment, and can't be adjusted. If it helps your pain and you feel better, so be it. A native American shaman has about as much to offer you (or more) in medical treatment than a chiropractor.

Spam, eggs, sausage and Spam, SPAM, SPAM, SPAM, SPAM, SPAM, SPAM, SPAM, SPAM, lovely Spam, lovely Spam... lovely Spam, lovely Spam, Spam, Spam, Spam..... Can't get the song out of my mind. Actually Caroline, "SPAM" refers to the canned product. Both "Spam" and "SPAM" are registered trademarks of Hormel and should refer to the canned item while "spam" is the unsolicited commercial email, though when used to start a sentence, it would be appropriate to capitalize it. Just FYI. Occasionally that greasy canned stuff is ok, fried and served with eggs, potatoes and toast. I don't really care for canned meats of any kind and don't care for any unsolicited commercial email of any kind! Just because email is unsolicited does not make it spam. If I send you, well, let's put it this way, if YOU send ME an email and say "hi" or ask a question, that's unsolicited but not spam. The ones that are commercially motivated, i.e. trying to make money, via semi-legitimate or scam methods is the key to truly calling it "spam". There's many ways to recognize the UCE spam. As mentioned, but when they put your name, and several others in various forms, for instance, yourname@yourisp, yorname@yourisp, yourname@yoisp... you know it's a spammer. If it shows your address as the sender? It's spam. I always tell people for instance if they're contacting me through GW, to put in the subject something like "it's (sender) from GW" and I always do that too. Then the recipient can choose to open it or not. Let's face it, spam works. People buy the stuff. People send the personal info they ask for. People are STOOPID! And because of this we all suffer. And the forward button should be removed from all browsers. People forward garbage and that is conspiring with spammers and makes you a spammer when you do it. People are too lazy to check to see if it's true, they'll just send it to their address book just in case or because it coincides with their political or religious belief and it doesn't matter if it's a lie.

Oh well that's entirely different, don't even look at it, why would it bother you in the spam folder that means your email program is working as it should. Let it dispose of them or just click delete on the spam folder to get rid of them. I don't care or know what in in there it gets deleted. Don't you get fliers and junk mail in your real mailbox? I know I do and it goes directly into the trash can. Every time you visit websites they put tracker cookies on your pc . If you order online you give your email address, it gets shared among the "partners" they now have your email address, they share with their "partners". On and on. I have ordered from Amazon recently and twice now the company that had the product that I ordered from Amazon have emailed me directly asking for my opinion and asked for feedback. I don't like this new development, but I did place the order and I had to provide my email address. It is what it is, also Facebook and other social media that encourages sharing every thing well it's going to happen a lot. Expect that to increase not decrease. But not using that primary email address online and among friends will help. It's your friends that are the likely culprits, forwarding emails with long list of everyone's address on them. Use BCC if you must forward! And if someone you know is doing it and including your email address then tell them to stop. I see a signature quite often asking to please use BCC or remove their address before forwarding. If someone does not know how to do that by now, ask for help or use Google to learn more about proper etiquette in email forwarding.

May I make a suggestion? As long as we have posters who add other boards to read their topic along with the conversation forum, we'll get spam pretty soon. I said this before, sometimes it's necessary. Like the time I was desperate to find the name of a flower and didn't get any responses in the flower boards. Rarely do I click on a topic anymore if it's also posted on other boards. I used to love the intimacy of this board. :(
