No problem. We do have quartz...not quartzite. I have not seen the marbled veining of this product and pattern on quartzite. Actually, we thought it was marble, but could not be happier with both the look plus hardness of the quartz product.

Pick a different stone or shorten the island. Leathered never ever looks right with a seam. The edges don’t either. It’s a rare shop that carries the diamond brushes to leather anything in the shop. That’s done at the quarry. A 120’’ island will generally always need a seam as stone slabs average 108”. You’d need something closer to 127” to get 10’ feet of cabinets covered. That’s 123” of yield needed. Granite isn’t generally square enough to get 123” out of 125”. 127” gives 2” each side for wiggle room. You get slim and slimmer choices for 127” natural stone slabs. You have to find a slab first, and then design the cabinets to it’s dimensions when wanting a super Long Island. You’ve done this the other way around. You may find you need to move to Jumbo quartz.

Sorry for late response to both of you. I don't have any other pictures at the moment, sorry. @AmyK we used a hair dryer to get one ring mostly off and one about half gone. Haven't tried ever since; the pandemic and everything has side-tracked us. We haven't been able to reseal it either, although because we know what stains it, we've figured out how to mostly avoid more issues. We typically just put down a towel in the most-used area and just ensure we wipe everything up (water, juice, etc.) before it penetrates the stone.

kris G: I hear you. I continue to learn to live with to try and enjoy my stone. Even do my best to accept the stains (husband just recently left something clear but oil based on and stained-I used acetone and it did lift some. But eek!! ). We now use silicone mats under everything. And I only plate meals at the table now. But, even as careful as I am, and quick as I am to clean if something drips, it still can stain/leave a Mark (ie transferring raw bacon to oven pan, liquid dripped, I immediately wiped and it was set). I know no one would notice but it’s hard that I do. I try to no longer be hyper vigilant about it, but, my kitchen has never been clean like this! Haha. Sorry and hopefully you can find a good sealant and some grace
