*** PICS BELOW *** Renovating our kitchen, it's a big job. The contractor ordered the wrong stain on our Crystal cabinets - it's missing the 'highlights' we asked for. It's essentially a glaze that creates a completely different color (and loads of depth). We're not happy. 2 of the 10 cabinets have been unboxed and installed. The contractor says they can fix it onsite with actual Crystal product. That they have a master cabinet craftsman who can do it. They don't want to have new cabinets shipped, and we don't want what will be 10 week delay at this point. But for us - the quality is everything. These weren't cheap cabinets and we want what we paid for. What do we need to know about glazes applied onsite vs at the factory? What should I be concerned with? What questions do I ask of our contractor and what assurances should I seek?P
