Rough In Valve 3/4 or 1/2 inch- Help!!
Comments (4)I highly encourage you plumb your shower so you can run anywhere from one to all three heads at the same time. Figure out the two heads that will be used most often...for example, you using the handheld and your hubby the fixed. I'd have one valve control the handheld for you, the second valve control the regular shower head for your husband. Then put a diverter on either valve to control the rainhead. Or, get one of the A/B/C diverters that can send water from a single source to either A, B, or C, or any combination of the three. Here's an example. It really will help with flow control. If your supply is 1/2", then just use a half-inch valve. Do realize that with some of the diverter valves it's assumed that there is going to be significant flow required, so they might not be available in a half-inch size. Only larger. Pressure balanced valves feed rainheads just fine. I've neither seen nor heard of a problem. Before doing any plumbing, I'd see what flow volume you're getting out of the half-inch pipe, you'll need to know if it can supply three outlets at once. Example, your three heads are each 2.5gpm, you'll need 7.5gpm out of that pipe to run all three at once. If it can, then you can do as you want. If it can't, then look into a 3x diverter. Or multiple valves, one for each head. Or something in between. Your choice. If you go with a single valve, be aware that the valve may have a volume pass-through restriction. Make sure the valve can pass through the 7.5 gpm that would be required in the example above. Mongo...See MoreNeed help with 11'4X12 master bath and closet layout.
Comments (3)Well, we are building and will have an 11'4X27' area for the master bedroom/bath/closet. The bedroom will be 11'4X15 and the additional space will be for the closet and bathroom. I would like double sinks, possibly a toilet closet, and a large walk-in shower. I have figured and re-figured and can't seem to find a design that I love which gives adequate closet space and bathroom space. Please let me know if more info would be helpful. This is not my forte (obviously) which is why I would love some help....See MoreMaster Bath layout decision time...PLEASE help!!
Comments (35)When you say false wall - you are talking about the "back wall" of the shower ( against the outside wall ) right? I think that will be fine . Are you doing a tile base? Then you can do anysize - preform ones are different. I would go 54 in width especially if you might keep a small bench in there.... do some great niches in the wall for soap and shampoo.... Free standing tubs are more dramatic looking HOWEVER they have to be positioned so you can get behind them to clean - that might be more difficult in your situation since you can't easily get behind the tub. If you want freestanding then do a clawfoot so you can run a swiffer underneath... Be sure to buy a tub that mentions "lumbar" support - that will be a more comfortable tub... I also look for arm rests.......See MoreHelp with wall color please! Between #2, #3 and # 4 or other? Thanks!
Comments (6)none. 1 is too beige looking, 2,3,4 are too taupe, and 5 is too gray. the taupe would look like this and the bluer/gray like this. personally I don't care for either. soft white looks nice. this one has a slight pink undertone which works w/the flooring this one is SW Light French Gray soft sage greens looks great with hickory Most of these tones would look great w/your flooring a good, light griege is Pale Oak, BM. It seems to work w/everything. shown here: you could also try BM Smoke embers. it has the slight pink undertone...See MoreJAN MOYER
