Choosing new furnace...

HU-134876982
last year

I am looking to replace a 20-year-old American Standard furnace. Recently, the control board went and was replaced with a used one as a work-around. In the meantime, I've received quotes to have the unit replaced and have narrowed it down to the following:

Carrier 59TN6B (specifically model 59TN6B060C17--14)

Trane S9V2B060U4

The current furnace is 80% efficient and 80,000 BTUs. Both of these units are available through the same contractor. The Trane is a bit more expensive than the Carrier. Our central A/C unit is from 1999 and uses R-22. I will ONLY be replacing the furnace at this time. That said, I'd appreciate any feedback on which unit to select.

Home is about 1,120 sq feet located in NE Ohio. The upstairs is always warmer in summer and has no cold air returns. Thank you.
