Furniture Design Dilemma

Any ideas? My Master bedroom needs an update!

I would like to do a update on our master. New furniture, wall colors etc. My furniture is really dark and dated. I want to keep the TV where it is on the wall. The ceiling is catheral, with peak being off center of the room. I was thinking of doing an accent wall, maybe putting a fireplace under TV, adding in some seating (two chairs) at the foot of the bed as we have alot of room depth wise. Am open to all ideas! Thanks!

Instead of the two small bedside tables, get long chests for storage so you can eliminate the large dresser on the right side of the bed, keep the walkways open on both sides and avoid zig zagging to get to the bed.

Create two zones: the back wall is your sleeping area with the bed, chests and tall lamps and a rug, and the other zone is for awake relaxation - TV, reading, etc...

You could consider two chairs at the foot of the bed with a coffee table and a rug. Or, a small, super comfortable apt size sofa and a swivel chair angled on the right side of the window that can be turned toward the sofa or the TV.

I actually like your bed a lot. I'd just remove the canopy and keep the four posts. Put a beautiful area rug in the space and add some pattern and texture.

The dressers are a little "matchy matchy" however, and perhaps a bit too heavy if you decide to keep the bed. Here are a few inspo pix. Note how the furniture has a lighter feel to it.

Those leaning mirrors look great when there's a lot of space to move around. I don't think you have that space. Art would be my suggestion as well but there's no rush. Chalk paint for your chest is a great idea. Have you worked with it before? I was so impressed by how easy it is. If you're keeping your bedding, perhaps that can inspire your new wall colour?

Your bedroom reminds me of this model home's master suite. https://tours.stevenjamescollins.com/public/vtour/display/209717 Rather than trying to match the brown furniture, coordinate with it. A near match is a miss. Make a deliberate choice for something different, like these light colored pair of chests, or a light colored chest with a dark top. Also. Add wall art in your chosen accent color for above the bed.

Guessing the window is there for curb appeal on the front façade. Have you drawn a mock up to see what that would look like? Sky light /solar tubes add TONS of natural light!! Gotta wonder who the architect was and if it would be cheaper to move the closet so the window is part of the room, than mess with outside walls!!

Thank you Sabrina, that feedback makes alot of sense! I thought the same of all the furniture matching and can see from your pics how you can mix and match different woods and it looks really beautiful!. What are your thoughts for a seating area at the bottom of the bed?

Having a bench is great; I would just find one that isn't as dense as the one you currently have. Find one with an upholstered seat and slimmer legs.
