I used Valspar Ceiling White Paint & Bright White Semi Gloss Paint for Trim & Doors from Lowes. They come right off the shelf in a premixed color. Just have the clerk shake the cans. I decided to use these products so that if I ever need to do touch up, it's an easy to purchase and easy to match fix. I have also tinted the ceiling paint a color because the ceiling paint is specially formulated to minimize problems on ceilings and exceptional coverage.

I, too, can appreciate shiplap - but it doesn't match the style of your home, especially if you are adding crown molding! Honor the home's style - it's beautiful as is. Paint all the walls one color, white ceilings (or a very light mixture of the wall paint color).

I know chantily lace will work, buy I have simply white ir white dove. Do wither of these work with bm sugarcane for trim/ceiling?
