Anyone used heatshift for gas fireplaces?

I’m looking to install a 65” tv at a comfortable viewing height above a 50” linear direct vent gas fireplace. Probably Valor but considering Napoleon,Montigo and Regency. The dog and I want to sit in front of fireplace and feel the radiant heat and warm our backs. Heat shift technology is available for install that directs most of the heat through a vent installed near the ceiling to protect the tv. But doesn’t heat rise? Aren’t I paying to head a room with air that is already at the ceiling? Has anyone installed this? Do you feel heat on your back like a regular gas fireplace?
