That is certainly a fig tree. I don't think anyone can say for sure what type it is based on the leaves alone. It would be best to wait until it fruits. Then, post pictures of the fruits, both whole and halved.

Hi Gene And Thanks.This settle the problem if we read the last paragraf it is clear that Mister Denis Had the corect Brown Turkey in his #2 dish,wich Had a much longer neck,and it had much better flavor.This is also the only fig in England that has some purple, outside coloring and is common.(This is English Brn.Trk,The one and only) The# 1 dish by Mr Porter,it was in fact Archipel,wich had a shorter neck and a flat,eye end. That is Why i say that ,the English Brown Turkey is really easy to ID,because it has a very long neck,as in (Flax Post),and as Antonio's fig. I would like to say that to date i had bought about five Brown Turkey plants and all were Impostors,or other varieties. "Gene" you are the best reasercher.

Maybe this is out in left field but is it possible you are seeing a spider mite infestation. They certainly take over plants with a webbing that just gets bigger and bigger as you mentioned. There is both a red variety which I'm more used to but there are other varieties that appear whiter. I agree with the "hybrid" comment since all most likely are so similar in the shape and other qualities of the blooms , though some may tend to produce larger or fuller blooms under ideal growth conditions or even leaves may vary quite a bit in size perhaps depending on hybrid variety , but other than that I guess the modern use of DNA analysis may be the only surefire way to determining varieties that have no tags. Still not available of course as over the counter , DIY test kits for home us lol. Meanwhile unfortunately , my very old potted specimen has finally succumbed to my bad habit of over watering I'd guess , since though they tend to love "even" moisture , they hate soggy soil, especially during cooler winter months even indoors.
