I signed up for a free month at Christmas to get the free shipping, which saved me a lot. I did not "unsign" up. I decided to give it a try for a year. Honestly so far I am somewhat disappointed in the movies that are free to download with Prime. They are almost all old movies I have already seen or didn't want to see in the first place. I am sure I will save a few bucks on shipping over the year, but I don't buy all that much. I also belong to Netflix and I like that better only because of their series (House of Cards and Orange Is the New Black). If you want to watch a recent movie like Captain Phillips or Blue Jasmine on Amazon, it will cost you $3.99. That is a big savings over seeing it in a theater although the experience is not the same on my 40" tv. I bought a Roku box (at BJs!) to stream the movies to my tv. I do love the Roku. Next year I will decide between Netflix and Amazon Prime for my TV and movie streaming. I will probably go with Netflix since they seem to have the same free choices plus their series. I agree with the others that Prime is most useful for free shipping and somewhat useful for tv/movies. It has not knocked my socks off!

Thanks for the reply. My biggest concern is the flashing and looking around it seems that doesn't seem to be a problem with Aura as it is with the Regal line. I've always primed using with BM Primer which still is expensive primer wise (but not Aura expensive) when using Regal. I'll have to figure out pricing wise, though I always like to do two coats of the paint/color to get the deepness in the color. So I guess two coats Aura might be cheaper that two coats of Aura + 1 primer or even 2 coats of Regal + 1 primer. Thanks again

alisande- Many things are shipped for free using Amazon Prime, but it doesn't apply to some of the vendors that have storefronts on Amazon, and particularly not to used book dealers as they are the ones paying the shipping, not Amazon. There's not much profit in selling a book for a penny and shipping it for free! Basically people who are selling books really cheaply make most of their tiny profit based on the difference between the shipping charge and the somewhat smaller amount it really costs them. I have Amazon Prime, but I don't begrudge someone giving me a really good deal and charging a modest amount for shipping. If the price of the book plus the shipping is less than I can get it anywhere else, it's still a good deal. And Amazon is always very clear about what is eligible for free shipping and what isn't before you press the purchase button.

Maybe the Lending Library is just for primary Prime members not the ones who it was shared to. If that makes any sense...." You can only download books to Kindles or other "apparatus" (like a pc or BlackBerry or iPhone, etc.) if that equipment is registered to the account of the person with the Prime membership.
