its not the wall its the table size and also everything needs to move left about 6-8 inches. more stuff on the wall will only make the table look smaller.

wow thank you groveraxle and everyone for input-amazing! Tend to like neutrals so didn't realize how much a bit of color can transform the space. Since I am visual, have a bit of trouble envisioning things unless actually seen. I had a neutral rug in mind (grey/beige/cream)- would love input if not a good decision or if it will work? They're nice, but a little bland to occupy so much space. You might do better to start with an entry table -- a long console (maybe with some storage for mittens or spare keys) -- and then build around that. Maybe a lamp and some art, and then if you want further decoration, you could flank that with two of these, or one and a chair, or... If no table (or bench) is desired, then very large art can hold the wall, but I think you'll be sorry to have something that brings no color at all, unless you're planning some very colorful rugs or nearby furnishings.

Hi . Thanks for the photos. From what I can see, you have a nice home! Do not worry about blank walls right now. That can be solved. I see a lot of posts on here that are "backwards". What does that mean? Design happens in stages. It is important to follow them in the right sequence. Many posts on here jump to the last phase in design, which is painting the walls or adding decor to them. Giving you tips on walls right now would not be serving you well. It is a waste of time and likely a waste of your money. You need in this order: 1) Inspiration photos. (What kind of room do you like?) 2) A floor plan. Where to place your furniture so that it functions well and fits well. 3) Decor comes last. Looking at these photos below, which one or more appeals to you most? Don't worry about the colors as much as the style. Thanks!
