Comments (7)Worthy, whose bathroom is that? Is it yours? Worthy is right, wood would be out of place in that bath. disney, I have PVC beadboard in my guest bath and we decided to use the wood moldings. They look great together. You can't tell the PVC is PVC unless you touch it....See MoreWeird to have different trim in bathroom than rest of the house?
Comments (8)Can you use the casing from the rest of the house on the sides of the bathroom trim, then do the top and bottom as in your inspiration photo? Then later if/when you would like to change out the trim in the rest of the house, you just cut off and replace the tops and everything would then match perfectly. Or, do the bathroom the way you want, then later cut off and replace the tops of the mitered trim and everything thing would then almost match. I too like the craftsman look and have mitered trim, so the above approach is what we are considering doing one day. DH says he doesn't even need to pull the casing off the wall to cut off the top! Replacing trim is expensive and wasteful, and painting trim is a PITA, and this would be a good middle ground :)...See MoreWeird Mirror and Lighting in old bathroom - not sure what to do
Comments (1)Honestly, you are putting way to much into a space you will have to return back to OG when you move out. As far as the paint goes you get a color match done heck even ask the LL what color it was for touch-ups or something. Im not sure why you need to change it, and you are getting into stuff that is not really "quick rental fix" I could tell you a lot about how to do it but I really am wondering why you would want to put this much into changing 2 lights and a mirror, I think the mirror is really cute, fits the space Now you can buy plain frosted glass to put in place of that glass that is on the current light fixtures, upgrade the light bulbs and that would be a good start....See Morewhat material to use for bathroom baseboards
Comments (2)The dark grey tile will be on the walls of the shower/wet room and the curb. The pebbles will be on the floor of the shower. The white ish tile is on the main bathroom floor. The vanity backsplash and wall will be clear glass tile and the inside of the shower niches will also be a smaller clear glass tile. The vanity will be a teak floating vanity. The bathroom will have teak accents (shower bench, tub tray, etc). The door is painted white and is a 2 panel shaker door. The baseboards throughout the house are simple flat front 6" tall and painted white. I know that’s more info than you need but will hopefully paint an image of the style....See MorePaul F.
