Reno of tiny primary bath

Lori Ryan
last year

We had to renovate our very tiny primary bath because of a leak. This gave us an opportunity to improve many areas which needed to be tweaked. We decided to not put tile all the way around the whole bathroom. Instead we put tile floor to ceiling on the main wall and into the shower. The main thing was to get the proper sized vanity. There was very little space for it to fit since a window stopped us from getting a deeper vanity. We liked to size of our previous sink because it fit the space nicely but didn’t like the open shelving underneath so we had a cabinet made out of white oak with a white oak stain. The shower had beautiful glass door which swing in and out. This helps to keep the water in the shower. Previous floor tile was a basket weave. I liked the look but hated the grout. Now there are 12 x 12 tiles and much less grout. Overall, I am very happy with the results.
