sofa and loveseat -or- sectional???
Comments (3)Michelle, do you have the dimensions of your room and where and how many windows and doors there are? That can make a difference too. I know in our first tiny home we had a little love seat and two smallish upholstered chairs. It worked out perfect! No coffee table or ottomans, but then we had plenty of room for the little entertaining we did at that time. If you have graph paper make a scaled model of your room showing doors windows and even vents that may affect how you layout your furniture. Then make little furniture pieces of whatever you have and would like to have. That way you can play around with it all until you find out what works in your room. BHG.com has an arrange a room that you can do it online too. Just make sure you resize the furniture to makeit the size of what you have or what you've been looking at or it could mess your layout up. It's fun, but I actually prefer to have a paper one of each room and all my furnishings so if I want I can pull things from other rooms when wanting a new look. Have fun and don't worry. You'll find just what you want if you have patience....See MoreSectional Sofa Shopping help/ Arhaus?
Comments (2)Arhaus, like Restoration Hardware, and Pottery Barn have lots of stuff that looks good, looks fashionable, but when compared to other lines, not well made or comfortable. Look into (for about the same price) Taylor King (Portfolio Collection) where you can build a sectional pick your arm style, base options at no charge. $6300 for a 110" X 110 " sectional, 8 way hand tied, solid Maple frame. No down, down extra. Lot of fabrics to choose from for that price. Henredon, Fireside same options, grade C $7499 (Spring Blend Down seats, Down Backs, 8 way hand tied) 10-15 fabrics for that price. Flexsteel, $5000...See MoreSectional or Sofa and love seat
Comments (12)Couple things. There is a basic order to select items. Start with most limiting pieces. Sofa and chairs. Then rug. Your coffee table should fit within 18” of sofa and about 2/3 length of sofa. Then add end tables or small drink tables. Lamps and accessories and art. One large fiddle fig plant might work in that front corner. Do you prefer neutrals or want color? Your sofa can be neutral because it is easiest to work with. What style are you going for? Transitional?...See MoreTraditional sectional, sofa/loveseat combo, or chaise sectional?
Comments (4)@Patricia Colwell thanks! Our TV is in the corner in the bottom right of the bottom picture (you can see our daughter there). We’re doing a corner fireplace there as well. So would you suggest leaving the sofa where it is and doing two chairs where the loveseat is now? Like this pic?...See Morela_la Girl
