Comments (1)I see a few things that aren’t horrible, by any means, but could be changed. Mirror and sideboard, for instance, as mirror is too large for the sideboard and it overwhelms the room, reflecting the t v. Try the art over the sideboard and add a floor lamp where the plant is, as it will do double duty for the sofa and the art. Have you ever thought about adding a floor to ceiling strip of trim to separate the dining area from the living area and painting that wall a color? Something like this with a couple of white shelves on that wall?...See MoreNeed help decorating walls on both sides of door• UPDATE with after
Comments (3)What I would do is a long console on the bigger wall, around 50 inches, and put one large piece of art over it with a modern lamp and whatever else. On the other side, I’d remove the small console, keep the mirror there, and have plants under it. It would give the entry some life and texture. I don’t know your budget, so these are just examples: Console If you need any storage, you could use a cabinet instead of the above style: Modern plant stand Or Woven plant stands (you could paint the wicker gray, black, or white): BTW: The video was helpful! :)...See MoreHelp decorate bedroom around geometric curtains
Comments (55)UPDATE: Thank you, everyone, for all your help!! I mostly went shopping in my house, and changed things up a bit: 1. moved in blue-ish rug from desk area; got rid of ugly beige ombre rug 2. moved in dining room chair I wasn't using anyway; it's not awesome but it's better than the folding chair ;) and my mom made the quilt when I was a teenager, so... 3. moved in blue blanket from den 4. framed/hung watercolors my MIL gave me for Christmas -- not exactly what had been envisioning, but I love them and they are free ;) 5. new: big monstera plant from Trader Joe's of all places; it surprisingly seems pretty happy here 6. new: blue and white duvet cover (Overstock); blue bedskirt (Macy's); blue geometric pillow (HomeGoods) Eventually it would be nice to add an upholstered bench under the pics, and get bigger bedside tables + lamps -- but I don't want to spend the $$ on that right now. Overall, I'm happy with the room, and appreciated all the suggestions!...See MorePlease help me with the living room decor: curtains and wall decor
Comments (6)The rug is the wrong orientation in relation to sectional. Rotate the sectional so the chaise is on the fireplace wall. Or pull the sectional back, center it on the fireplace, and rotate the rug to center on the fireplace. And remove the pieces from in front of the fireplace so the rug can be closer to it. Can you separate the sectional into two pieces facing each other, one under the window and one on the wall -- and rotate the rug down the middle between them. That woud be ideal...you could see more of the rug. And get bold artwork for the long wall that will compliment the bold rug. Go to greatbigcanvas.com ,for a large canvas print..a fun site and reasonable. 60x40 or 48x32. I searched for peach and teal under Abstract and found these: https://www.greatbigcanvas.com/category/abstract-art/?color=382&color=398&shape=1...See Morecubby14
