Also, just "freekibble.com" brings up the dog site from which the cat site can be accessed. Tibs, I agree with Marda, LOL. If my eyebrows get much sparser, I won't have to shave them! There are very few of them, now--and mostly white.

Hi Pal! I'm lousy at remembering birthdays, etc. What I did was buy a daily planner book where you can see the whole month at a glance and write down events. I had to do this and I keep it on my coffee table. I write birthdays in red ink. I forgot my new DIL's bday once and can I tell you how bad I felt? Other than her not supporting your relationship w/your partner, it sounds like you two are friends and you want to keep it that way. I know you're not seeking advice, but I think you need to pull her aside and tell her, "Sorry about my snarky email, but you know I'm lousy at remembering birthdays, but I did think of you." Maybe she'll apologize for her petty email too. I don't expect a party for my birthday, but I do expect to be remembered by those close to me, just as they are remembered. My family and friends are big on sending cards, and IMO, they are such a treat to get in the mail! Nobody is doing it because they're obligated either. Another thought, some of us and maybe your friend also, had birthday parties growing up, and a LOT of them. I had several surprise parties, the last being a teen. So as we grow older we still want the world to stop on that day. lol. And when it doesn't, well it's kind of depressing, even though we know that is how life is as we get older. Even if your friend said that in jest, she was still wrong to do it. She should know by now you are bad at remembering birthdays. To keep the harmony between you, I'd remind her. Oh, and next year don't buy her a Halmark card, buy her a Papyrus card. :) That will make her shut-up.

I was a little surprised that Jeff didn't bring up the Brandon/Mikayla part of the show, since they made such a big deal out of it earlier. In fact, she didn't get to say a single word, as opposed to the 10,000 that Ozzy blabbered about, repeating himself over and over. I was happy to see that he and Sophie seemed to get over their bitterness towards each other, that was good. And I was glad Sophie won, too. I thought Cochran was very good at the reunion, smart and well-spoken and funny and endearing. Surely there is a geeky girl out there, just for him. :) Jeff needs to get over the Coach/Hantz love-fest..... just because they are polarizing doesn't mean that the viewers want to keep seeing them over and over again. It's time for a change- all new people, a fresh start.

There are a lot of horrible people in the world and many of them have children they have mistreated. I don't think we owe dishonorable people the honor of a respectful obituary. If she had earned respect, that's likely the kind of obituary she would have had written about her. I went to a memorial service once for a friend's father - who was a narcissist who lived his life in a way that negatively affected his children in major ways. One of the kids stood up and gave a speech about his father and what a miserable man he was and how his children had suffered from it. Everyone knew it was true, but the discomfort in the room was palpable. We just aren't used to people speaking the truth about the dead, but I don't see any reason not to. I know it was very healing for the man who spoke his truth at his father's service, instead of listening to the things others said about him while tiptoeing around the awful truth.
