What colour sofa and curtains for dark blue.
I’ve gone for the full dark blue green teal walls, ceiling and skirting. It’s a lot of colour. I was thinking grey carpet and curtains and yellow mustard gold sofa? I know it looks mad but the cost of getting rid of all that decorative moulding was mad. Photo isn’t great. I’ve added a proper colour pic from the paint site so you can see what it looks like in better light.

Comments (11)I'm so happy I could help you gs r. I would say your best bet for budget friendly custom draperies would be to find a local seamstress that works out of her home. Check Craigslist under services/creative. Make sure they share examples of their work with close ups. Not everyone that advertises really knows what they are doing. If you can see their work in person first, that's even better. If you find panels you like retail, a good seamstress would be able alter them to be one wide panel. I've done that before with lined panels. It's saves a lot of time and time is money so that could be very budget friendly. If you have any other questions please feel free to ask. Comments (9)I'd go with a solid, lined, drapery in a heavy linen blend in dark teal. My accent color would be dulled brass…for the rods and a tray for the ottoman. Pillows and leather just won’t cooperate with each other. Consider a beautiful throw, maybe the chunky Kenneybunk brand. Put the pattern and strong colors on the floor…my choice is something which will have plenty of white to correspond to the walls and some teal. last yearI would get an area rug that has some of the wall color in it and leave the floor under the desk chair uncovered. If you're going to use the space as an office for a large part of the day you should get a better desk chair with wheels and not have carpet under it. If you're using it infrequently as an office then that's a different story.
Here you can see caramel colored leather is a good look with dark blue.

Such a great color to work with. I predict it turns out awesome, not botched! Just take your time and find/collect things you love.I love that burnt orange sofa in my other post, too, it’s my favorite. And my preference would be a beautiful, richly colorful Persian or Oriental rug, or an ultra-modern rug with an interesting and artistic pattern — just anything but a generic gray abstract throwaway rug.
