What size is the art you will be placing on shelf to lean against wall?

May want to sketch it out on paper. In the end, you want the center of your art to be around 60-65” from the floor, unless there will be furniture under the shelves, in which case you would want the shelves closer to the furniture. It’s a large area for just a single shelf on each side.

to both respondents, art would be at most 24” x 36”. Could be layered photos. Thank you for the 60-65” centered placement of art or layerd photos.

That's a good spot for a photo ledge. Probably 2 on each wall.

I decided against the shelves and had 2 of my photos printed on canvas.

Beautiful! So much more impact than many small pieces on shelf that require up close viewing. The tulip is fabulous!
