Ditch the white on the columns and the door and window frames. I'd go with a soft cream color or something similar to the color of the gutters (but maybe less greyed).. Would look much better than white -- white just isn't right with this brick. Try that first and then re-evaluate.

You could try to paint the soffits and fascia, but the real problem here is the roof -- it never should have been grey, it should have been something in the brown family, but I see why they chose the grey-er tones, they match well with the roof.

Yes, the white is awful! We built and designed this house ourselves. When it came to the columns, arch and above it was supposed to be all  brick but something happened that we couldn't do brick, so we had to do columns and stucco and this is what i was left with. Ughhh. The color is kind of off on the photo  but the roof is actually brown and looks good with the brick. I love your suggestion of matching the gutters with less grey! And the white around the doors is vinyl. Can that be painted? Thanks for the suggestions!!

^^ It must be the way the color is rendering on my monitor, then -- the roof looks really grey compared to the brick, or maybe it's just the way it photographed. I do not know about painting vinyl -- you could ask your painter or maybe someone on the board will chime in on that.

Here is a more recent photo. For some reason the roof still looks gray, but it really is brown. As you can see, my husband painted the columns to match the soffit, but its too gray for me.

^^ Get rid of the white stripe between the columns and you'll be on the right track. (I'd still ditch the white window and door frames, if possible -- but they're not as noticeable as the "before" picture with all the white).

The roof doesn't look as grey as the first pic, BTW -- it's weird how things photograph "off" sometimes.

Landscaping and a hard surface walkway would help a lot. Consider getting rid of the shutters.

Paint the downspouts to match the brick better.

I also think you should get rid of the shutters. I would paint the arch and columns a gray brown. Then landscape.

Overall, the house is very nice, so you have a good base to work from. I recommend:

1. Make sure your paver walk is generously wide, at least 4 feet - it's more practical and also looks better
2. Get a professional landscape plan to enhance your lot with shrubs and small trees
3. Think of mowing the grass and make sure you have at least a 6" mowing strip all around the house
