Need window treatment advice please (pics)!
Comments (7)Charming! I would think woven woods or darker bamboo blinds would be great, to pick up on the brown tones and fences in the fabric. The only thing about any of those is that you canÂt really control the amount of light - they are either covering the window or pulled up. So I would look for the wood (or faux wood) blinds that give you light and air control, and still connect with the brown tones and fencing. PenneyÂs is a great place, because they always have coupons and sales, even on the made-to-measure. DonÂt hurry and settle for something - you can always put up temporary paper blinds to help block the light if you canÂt get ready-made blinds. Comments (2)I think as long as you keep the exterior color consistent, it's fine. The window over the foyer isn't going to match unless you're going to get up and down a ladder every night to raise or lower a shade, which you're not. In that case, I'd just use a fully retractable window cover, like the roller shade or duettes so that, at least, during the day when you're most likely to see them, the windows will be largely clear. If you do choose to put a valance over the bedroom windows to hide the shades, then you may wish to put one of the same shape over the foyer window as well...they don't need to match color on the interior, but make sure the exterior lining is the same....See MoreWindow covering advice please
Comments (4)With young kids, you want to be careful with any treatments that have cords. Any cordless product is a great choice. Top down, bottom up...........another great option. Roller/solar shades are nice and neat..........the nice kind, not the big box store ones. There are so many fabric/textile choices for these too and a good price point....See MoreNeed advice on window treatment
Comments (1)I'd suggest a solid with a texture for the drapery panels. I'd also recommend doing the panels as stationary panels and add roller shades or honeycomb shades on the windows that follow the shape of the bay....See Moresmits5
