How would you paint this bathroom?
Comments (5)Yes, this is the tile color: And this is a picture of the border: This bathroom is in a house we are planning to sell. My husband would have me paint every room white or builder beige but I like to add a little color. I want to stay neutral though. I am thinking of using one of the colors in the border then painting the ceiling (and the left wall) a shade lighter. Of course painting everything the same color means no cutting in :)...See MoreHow would you update this bathroom?
Comments (11)Hey there, I like your bathroom! Still... The toilet could be updated, but that could get cost a bit too. Or you just give the lower part of the wall a patterned wallpaper, taking into account the darker color of the wood above the medicine cabinet. You could also update the white wooden border and exchange it with the same wood. Overall I would say a bit more color would not hurt your bathroom imho. It#s not a must, it looks very well!...See Morehow would you paint this master bathroom??
Comments (23)We’d actually just finished renovating our prior house when I saw this house and felt like we needed to come see it. We walked in and instantly knew we had to buy. It just gave us the warm and fuzzies (well 3600sf of living space vs our prior 1500sf had a lot to do with it too! My laundry room here is even bigger than my son’s room at the old house!) There was so much pride and attention to detail that the prior owners clearly put in. I work from home and spend all day in my house so as vain as it may be, I really enjoy the beauty and fine aspects of it A LOT. We definitely need to update quite a few things though. Everything is a huge undertaking though - physically and financially - with this much space and our desire to do it RIGHT. My husband is a superintendent for a custom builder and he believes in using high quality materials, even if it means we have to wait a while to have the budget for it. We’ve done a lot in 4 months - replaced an AC unit, pool equipment, re insulated the attic, all new double pane windows, plantation shutters (except this bathroom) and furnished the dining room, my office and our pool area. Next up is floor, paint and countertops in the kitchen. I imagine sometime in the next year (or two) we’ll be done. I HOPE! Anyways I really appreciate all of your input! I think I’ll head to SW this week and finally start painting!...See MoreHow would you modernize bathroom?
Comments (17)I think I'd start with just painting the walls a soft white or very pale taupe maybe. To me it's too much peachy beige going on. Is the wood trim consistent throughout the house? If so, I'd leave it (unless you want to tackle the whole house) and the vanity. If not, then you could consider painting the trim, vanity, door, etc. Assuming you don't want to re-do the flooring, I'd want to know if the tile runs under the vanity before considering replacing it with a single sink model. The mirror situation is tricky. I'd be tempted to just leave them or maybe just remove the one on the angled wall and have a single mirror on the flat wall, even though the second sink isn't centered on it. I think no matter what you do, if you keep the two sinks on this vanity, the mirror situation is going to be a little weird, but that's ok....See MoreTina Marie
