Painting opposing walls same color in bedroom
Comments (8)I think that is what we are going to do. I'm leaning towards painting the walls at the head and foot of the bed smoky blue and the other 2 walls evening shadow. I just need the gray to be dark enough to contrast well with the white curtains I bought and the white colored closet doors on those walls. We will have to buy a sample and see how it looks against the white. If it wasn't for resale value, I probably wouldn't give it a second thought, but we live in an area where most of the houses are VERY similar, and sometimes the paint and flooring is the only thing that makes the home stand out when up for sale....See Morepainting vaulted ceilings with beams the same as walls?
Comments (5)Yikes. Lol.. so didn’t have any thoughts on the beams until this.. so I guess I’m a bit confused because when pouring over a bunch of house pictures there were a ton that looked like this. 🤔 the only difference is they were just painted white.....See MorePainting door the same color as the wall
Comments (6)I have BM edgecomb gray walls in scrubbable flat. I painted all the trim semi-gloss Chantily Lace against my better judgement. The trim is ok but my new doors are far too shiny for my liking. The semi-gloss shows roller marks and I am a really good painter so feeling a little discouraged with the doors. I considered painting them 1/4 strength of the walls but BM reluctant to do that as the shade may simply look dirty. Final decision: leave them white but tone down the sheen....See MorePainting a Ceiling and Trim same COLOR, then walls white?
Comments (2)I don't know anything about your house or the décor so it is very hard to give any kind of advice, but I am wondering why shiplap? Sometimes when I read a post like yours I think that you may be trying too hard to be different. I like a bit of a surprise, like colored ceilings or trim or both. Like using bolder colors and more color, but I generally try to keep the design elements simple and let the color be the star. Is the shiplap going to compete with the color? More isn't always better, sometimes it is just more....See Morearcy_gw
