Front door dilemma

A K
last year

In the new house we are building the front door has two bore holes - one for latch at the bottom and another one for deadbolt on top. However, we would like to only have a deadbolt and a long door pull (like the picture below) and no latch.

I can think of two options at this point to achieve this look (without ordering a new door):

1. Get a dead bolt with a long plate that will cover the lower latch. However, I am unable to find a dead bolt like this. Most dead bolts that have a long plate also have a latch or at least a knob.

2. Get a long wrap around plate that covers both the holes Then cut a hole in the plate for the dead bolt hole to install the dead bolt and keep the latch hole covered.

Are there any other options that I am not thinking of (other than replacing the door which I would rather not do for it's quite expensive).

Thank you.
