Here comes the sun!

No photo until tonight. Our neighborhood will be celebrating with 400 luminaries and a toast to dear neighbors who have passed.

Took this one this a.m. First ray of sunshine on this winter solstice day...

No rays of sunshine here today, although enjoying seasonal lights

The sun isn’t up for another hour so here’s one from a drive to a morning appointment last year.

Hibiscus in front yard. In summer the flowers are yellow, but in December, they are orange. That's how I can tell the solstice.

Cooper Hawk on my arbor just now.

I searched through my pictures, going back to 2014, looking for one taken on 12/21. There was only one and I figure it would be deleted if posted.

Oh give it a try jrb! Show us what you’ve got.

😁

@User, at your request, a pin I’d ordered, 12/21/18

Aah, thank you jrb! LOL

I was expecting/hoping for something racy but now my curiosity has been satisfied.

Me too, rox 😄

I searched my photos too for December 21, and this was what came up - a snowman band made from recycled packing materials for our rec. ctr. in 2009. The sheet music is 'Let It Snow'...
