Which do you prefer for a fireplace accent wall?

This is in a living / dining room open concept (approx 13 x 27). This is what the dining end of the room will look like (once the chairs are delivered):

Also, I realize the TV above a fireplace is not everyone's preference. The images below are based on:

-58 inches from Center of TV to floor

-Seating is between 8 1/2 and 16 ft from the TV

-Maximum vertical viewing angle (looking up at TV) is 7 degrees (which these seats would rarely be occupied while watching TV).

Can you put your TV on a wall next to the fireplace with a console beneath to anchor it? The are TV wall attachments allowing you to angle the TV for viewing. It would help to see a room layout and other views of the room.

It's caused by the heat of the appliance. The edges get hot and want to expand. The middle is cool and doesn't. Something's gotta give, thus your crack. Heat cracks distort materials too which means even if you could somehow clamp the two sides, they can never come together again because they are distorted. Someone should have read and comprehended the appliance and slab manufacturer's installation instructions. Even spending time on stoner websites would teach you not to do this.

I think you need to move in and place your furniture before you do any decorating. I don't think you want shelves on the FP wall as it's a pass through from kitchen.
