Got my Christmas gifts today. Guess what they are?

Yes, they're jigsaw puzzles! My neighbour and friend loves finding difficult puzzles for me, as you know.

One is a beach scene....beach, water and umbrellas.

The other is full of colourful balls,

AND a stackable storage unit to store them in. I think it will be great to sort the colours in while working on it. I don't need to move the puzzle, once the table is set up, it stays until the puzzle is done.

I was thinking of taking a break, as the one I'm doing now (that she also bought me) is brutal. It's of Lake Louise in Alberta.

On a walk behind type of mower, not self-propelled--what does horse-power have to do with cutting grass? HMMM?? Will .5 additional H.P. have any appreciable effect on the power of the machine? Oh, yes, maybe if the operator runs it into 6 ft. high grass that has never been mowed, or cut in any way. Maybe the additional .5 of H.P. will allow the blade to turn 4 more times before it gets stalled out by the thick grass? I have always thought that stating the amount of H.P. was just an advertising gimmick, meant to fool the average homeowner into thinking he might have something much better than his neighbor! now, if the H.P. rating was being used to make a self-propelled mower move along better--well--how much faster would it move, and could the person using it keep up with it? Go figure-- And, as for the goof driving the motor home, who thought they could get up out of the drivers seat and go fix lunch, while under way (That means moving along) should be in the "funny farm", not in court! I drive a motor home, and we've often said we would be able to do that, but only said it in jest (jokingly) as i consider us, my wife and I, to be smarter than to try that, even though we might get enrichened by some smart lawyer. ;o)

gibsona, I'm glad the pig arrived in one piece. I'm also glad my friend cathy's lovely little box arrived at its destination too - she is off on vacation in CA and we'll post her bank when she gets home. She's led our local art camp for about 12 years now, so doing it with the camp tile was a perfect choice for her. I got back from Italy in the wee hours of the morning and I just dropped in to see if it got to you --- now I'm off to the post office and pick up my bank!!

Guess Who Got a Pink Christmas Tree Today?

I KNEW who got the pink tree even before I read it. I saw one at Big Lots a few weeks back, too. It was probably 6" though. My tree is white with tons of clear lights and I just love it. I always wanted a white one and now I'm happy. I've told this story before, but when we moved from the country we had a huge garage sale and got rid of lots of stuff. (Sometimes i feel like it all made it's way back home.) I sold a lot of Christmas stuff but had one really big box to keep with my angel collection, my Santas and all the pretty Hallmark ornaments my daughter gave us every year. Also ornaments from all our vacations and the construction paper ornaments the GK's made. And the ceramic tree ornament my DD made in the 3rd or 4th grade. The box was on the floor of Harry's workshop and I'd asked him 3 or 4 times to please put it on the screened porch for me, which he never did. I gave the leftover garage sale stuff to a friend to try to sell later. I wasn't home when she picked it up, but I told her it was all on the floor. Well, you guessed it. They took my dear Christmas collections and I didn't know it until I pulled out the box I thought they were in that next December and found all I had was the outside decorations. I was so sick about it I cried my eyes out. It still hurts me to this day. I just loved talking about each ornament every year and remembering where/when we got it. So now I have my white tree without a single protest!! It probably sounds silly, but they meant so much to me.

I did two jigsaw puzzles early in thepandemic. I thought ’d lose my mind trying to finish them! Im so glad you enjoy them. These look hard! How long will it tame to finish one?

I would love those, but I don't have a place to do them unless my husband is out of town. I don't think he's willing to leave for that long!! Have fun with them!

Eld, I've done a number of these.....One was amazing, it was an astronaut done as a mosaic. Lots of little pictures to make the big picture of the astronaut.

I currently have this one for sale on Kijiji. New in box. I was given this one one time, when I already had it. So far, no bites. LOL

At least she's giving me them with pictures. I'm not interested in doing one that's just en empty crossword grid, or just a bunch of sticks etc. Those would be just frustrating, I have no interest in doing them just because they're super hard.

I had one years ago, that I couldn't do.....it didn't have any edges, and they were goldfish. So literally no starting point.
