I totally agree with you on the shower curtain choice. Regardless of whether I have the money to spare or not, keeping those suckers clean is a nuisance over time. We have a glass shower door that was installed back in 2003 and I can't tell you how much I hate cleaning it. Not that the door is all that dirty, but a shower curtain is way easier, and you can change the look/style whenever you feel like it. Can't do that with a pricey shower door. I really wanted to drop pendants, but I'm not very tall and my husband is over 6' so I went for function over form and these lights offer a very even, flattering light. After searching Kirklands, (thinking I would silver leaf them), RH, and ordering custom made from www.pictureframes.com, I decided to call a local glass fabricator. These are 28 x 44 and cost $105 each. They have picture frame hooks on the back. Mine were made with a bevelled border. The glass people said customers often buy pictures at TJ Maxx, remove the picture, and replace it with a mirror. It's pretty inexpensive to do. You might also like the "Hovan" Mirror from Horchow. The fixture over the tub had to meet height regulations, and I purchased this as a semi-flush mount. This model also converted to a hanging fixture, and I only used a few links since the ceiling was high enough to allow it to be hung that way. I am definitely leaning towards chrome for towel hooks and TP holder, so thanks:) jdros81- I have not yet decided on what white Quartz to use yet. I am leaning towards something with a little sparkle to "break up" the white on white a bit. They will likely not be stark white as our cabinets are ever so slightly off white (IKEA's new Grimslov, which replaced the Adel). Something like Caesarstone Blizzard or Nougat. I have also been checking out some big box stores Quartz. That have very similar colors (Vashon) at a much nicer price :) Good luck with your decisions, sometimes the minor details can be the most frustrating!

White and grey is super trendy right now, and I think it's a good choice for a small bathroom. Is this townhouse a place you envision living for a long, long time, or is it more like a five-year stop for you? If you expect to live here long-term, go with the tile you prefer and enjoy it ... but if you anticipate selling moderately soon, stick with a porcelain tile. Why? Because if you plan to resell, you want to be able to get your money back out of it, and you probably won't with marble. The function will be the same either way. With this bathroom's small proportions, I agree that basketweave (available in marble or in porcelain) is a good choice; however, it's expensive, and in a room this size you're going to cover up a bunch of it with a warm and comfortable bath mat (those never make it into pictures, you know, but none of us want cold feet). If you opt for something less expensive, you could consider hexes or penny rounds. Definitely small tile on the floor. I like the large mirror in your inspiration picture. In a small bathroom, something large and seamless is greatly preferable to something small and fussy. I agree with the above poster who encourages you to bring in some color; plain white and grey can look so stark and cold. I also agree with the above poster who suggests that you skip the shower seat. My girls have a shower just this size, and it's very nice -- not luxuriously large, but comfortable. It is not big enough to dedicate a portion to a permanent seat. On the subject of the shower, be sure you're getting a large recessed shower niche (or several niches); don't assume they'll include this automatically. The ability to keep your "shower stuff" up off the floor will make the shower seem larger and more comfortable. I don't know if you're still at the point you can make choices about layout, but reconsider the double sinks. You're looking at a 5' vanity, and that's going to be too small to support two sinks -- you'll bump up against one another, and the person who has the sink against the wall will constantly hit his or her elbow. If you downsize to a single sink, you'll be able to have drawers in your vanity -- and since you have no other storage in this bathroom, you're going to want those drawers. Is the toilet-in-a-closet set in stone? At 30" wide, that's the absolutely minimum width. Take a look at a yardstick and see just how small that is.
