Those liners they put in glass vases that look like leaves? Does anyone know what I mean?

My Googling got me to banana leaves for wrapping the stems of the flowers.

Thanks Allison! I hope that didn't come across snippy. What I meant was some of the best deals I find in antique shops are those little hole in the wall - stuff piled high and under stuff, etc. You can get some good deals. Not the upscale places. I do love vintage silver and of course you can find some pricey stuff. I also find a good bit on ebay (people sometimes really don't know what they have!) and etsy (vintage). I appreciate you keeping a lookout. I'm fine with silver plated, vintage/antique would be great if I can find it for a good deal, but a new piece would be fine also. dlm200 - I'm not in a hurry, that's part of the fun - the search, finding just the right thing. That tray is GORGEOUS! $4????!!!!! Allison I forgot to answer your question - I would use the tray as shown in the pic I posted - on a side table, perhaps a chest I have in my dining room, something like that. tina

The floor is something beige-y. The vanity is white, with a white counter. The fixtures are white. The bath is set up like a hotel, with the tub/toilet in a separate room, and the vanity between that and the closet. They have taken the double doors off from the bath to the bedroom, I think they just got in the way. I commented that, even though the only window is in the tub area, she could probably get away with a darker color, as everything else is white/light, and they always have to turn the light on in there anyway. I was hoping for some pictures to show combinations with the earth tones, she is having trouble visualizing anything other than brown or green.

IMO 4" is a bout as big as you can go since the space between the window and the ceiling is going to drive the size of trim it can't go to the ceiling . I am however a bit confused as to what exactly the plan is for this one widow to have a different rim that the rest .. Sorry I think it is just a wide doorway so are you doing both sides ?

No, it's fake and it feels like paper. I discovered it once in an arrangement, and then I reused it. It works very well for the kind of arrangement you show Maddielee. Maybe I can just buy some from a florist!

The only ones I've seen were real leaves. Doesn't surprise me they sell faux though.

I thought it was a leaf but when I threw out a bouquet one time I noticed it wasn't. It was even washable.
