Has anyone had *major* scratching of their Mohawk floors? We had hand-scraped engineered hardwoods installed 6 months ago and our floors look like they’re 10 years old (even medium/low traffic areas have scratches). These floors scratch with just about anything.. even our barstools and kitchen chairs WITH the felt protectors have left HUGE marks. We have had to completely change the way we live because of these horrible horrible floors.. I don’t let *anything* touch this floor (not even a trash bag or a backpack) because it will leave marks. I can’t even roll my carry-on two feet without scratching! Also dropping anything semi-heavy (like a bottle of sunscreen or video game remote) does this: (see first pic). We covered about 2000 square feet of our home in this floor and 6 months later I’m already thinking of replacing it. ANY chance this falls under the “finish” warranty? I’ve never been so disappointed with a product in my life. Friends and family are amazed at how easily these floors scratch too... we’ve never seen any flooring this horrible. These floors are driving us absolutely crazy.

I just wanted to share some install photos. We just finished a kitchen of One Sweet Talker. I love how it looks and I love the wider and longer planks. The customer service was again top notch. However, I hate that I have to say this but I feel like I need to share because I wish I'd known. This is our second house with Supercore and we love the company. We just finished the install Thurs. Sunday we had guests over. One of them must have had a rock stuck in their shoe or something. There's now a huge area of scratching. Almost a foot long. It's so disappointing. And I know that maybe other brands would be similar, but it just seems so soon and just under normal wear. 😕 I'll attach pictures in another comment to show how well they show up on this color.

DONT go with Ciaro Oak here is our experience...We put Cairo Oak by Coretec in out new build home from flooring liquidators in late 2021. We have 4 kids ages 9-1 and thought a LVP would be the most practical way to go. While I still agree LVP is great with kids this flooring is AWFUL! The color Cairo oak specifically eats anything it touches. Its sadly in our whole main floor so we are on it most of the day. This flooring makes holes in socks and in the knees of pants in literally two seconds. It has become quite costly replacing pants and sock for four kids. It is specifically this flooring. We have had other LVP flooring in past homes with kids and did not experience this. I tried reaching out to Coretec and got a careless response. It is very upsetting to spend such a large amount of money on flooring for a well known brand only to get a crappy quality in return. If you are looking at Cairo Oak from Coretec..keep looking. I wouldn't even recommend the brand after the way they handled their customer service.

I would look at vinyl plank it is affordable and easy to DIY the install and yes you need simple and lots of extra for the whole house . Please remove the cabinet beside the FP and find another spot for the TV. That wall where you have the photo shelves would be a perfect spot for the TV at the right height , some storage and display , check out Besta from Ikea . Is this a play room a LR or what with all the weird mix of chairs. Maybe a bett pic of the whole space
