Comments (5)Thank you! I will look up Del Mar Blue. I think wedgewood gray is still too light anyway but I like the tone. Who knew picking exterior colors could be so difficult!...See MoreDesperately Seeking- Perfect Gray/Blue Exterior Paint Color for Stucco
Comments (3)Ask your painter if they use SW or Dunn Edwards. Have them pick up a quart of each of your two choices in the preferred brand, and then have them paint a 4 foot wide swath from floor to ceiling on the front wall....See MoreHow to spruce up my exterior house? Paint colors?
Comments (6)Certainly keep the brick because the path and driveway are in the same color family. The yellow is actually very sweet with the brick. If it's to cheery for you, it can be toned down to more of a butternut. In my mind, the problem is that the roof is a cool color and the brick and such is warm. You might be able to tie them together with a neutral light grey paint if you find any flecks of grey in your brick. You don't want to tear off a roof because of the color so I would recommend foundation plantings to minimize the conflict. It can be as simple as a tidy brick-height hedge, or something more complex. A bench across the porch, and move the tree on the porch to the left side of the garage where the one side is thicker than the other....See MoreSeeking the right gray wall paint to show off blue leather sectional.
Comments (7)I really like the white w/ gray trim in the photo above. I also tend to think that you need to go either darker, or use a tone that is not the same (blue& gray) as the floor and sofa - to prevent too much sameness in your major elements. To my eyes the floor and sofa just flow together - nice, but that is the sameness I mean. The exception would be if you have, or plan, some colorful wall art or accessories that would break up the expanse of blue/gray. That colorful painting seems to be an important element in the white wall/gray trim photo above. It also seems to my eyes that the floor and sofa (so pretty!) read cool, so you will have to have a care to not throw a random warm shade, as green grays can be (but not all are!) on the walls. Outside of that concern, I think that I personally would like a greenish tone in the mix. - it would certainly set off the sofa, if it is just the right shade....See Moreskynina
