Comments (12)In Canada, it was always known as it's full name. It took a year of "KFC" commercials to realize they were talking about KENTUCKY FRIED CHICKEN lol. I think now they are pushing it by the initials here as well - you know, to get away from that FRIED word. Also in Canada (at least in Ontario) I have never encountered biscuits, and we don't usually have the mashed potatoes either. Which is too bad because I would prefer them to fries. I remember the bread. It was a short loaf, with slices partially cut and it seemed dipped/brushed with butter. It was soft, squishy, slightly sweet. I don't have a recipe, but sometimes you can get soft rolls that taste very much the same. They are in a tray and all touching each other, shaped like little rectangles....See MoreWow... Comments (5)Just remember, major changes will happen quickly ... and then everything will seem like it takes forever! We're in the last days of our renovation and can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. Good luck -- and be sure to stay on top to the project. (I annoyed my GC by asking for updates at every logical point. If he said cabinet install would take 2 days, I'd check in at 1.5 days. The good news is we are finishing the project a week ahead of time -- and under budget. Comments (11)Thanks everyone for the warm welcome. I love all of your gardens, they have inspired me, and made me believe I could do this, they are just wonderful. That was my first shade bed, down in my Gully, I have several more beds now, but the first one that had any plants of decent size. hopefully this year I will have better pics. The White Rock, is manmade, I made it using old blocks, pieces of concrete I needed to get rid of anyway, so I wanted a rock, my husband is sick & cannot help me, so I looked online, got some ideals, and I built it, it looks better in person than in pics for some reason, you really can not tell I made it, I made one more to help hold a bank, I will find that pic, this is all a work in progress, and has taken a lot longer than I ever imagined. Since I made the rock, I found huge rock over in another gully so I have just been moving them around with my husband's truck and a crow bar, but I have dug enough rock up off this hill to rock my dry stream that is used when we get lots of rain. The great thing I have found about working down in the gully is the shade is there all day. lol...See MoreI just received my first order from Long Ago Roses!

Now she's custom rooting some of Kim Rupert's roses I begged (pestered, cajoled...) Kim to send her. I can't wait until next Spring...welllllll, I guess I DO have to wait, lol.
